CIRCUIT BREAKER UPGRADES AND REPLACEMENT
Gengatorz Power Systems performs circuit breaker replacement, circuit breaker repair, and new breaker installation for residential and commercial properties. A breaker is an overcurrent protective device. It disconnects a circuit when current passes the rating stamped on the handle, which is what stops conductors from overheating.
When a breaker stops doing that job, the circuit loses its protection. A breaker that will not reset, trips with no load on it, feels hot, or buzzes at the panel needs to be tested, not replaced with a bigger one. Oversizing a breaker shifts the overload onto the wire.
Our licensed electricians (License #63937) test the breaker, the connection, and the circuit it feeds, then replace, repair, or add breakers to NEC Article 240 requirements. You get the diagnosis and the price before any work starts.

CIRCUIT BREAKER REPAIR AND NEW BREAKER INSTALLATION
Most calls for circuit breaker repair turn out to be a problem at the connection, not inside the breaker: a loose lug, an overheated stab, a burned bus bar, or a double-tapped breaker with two conductors under one screw. We repair the termination, correct the double tap with a listed method, and replace any damaged bus hardware.
Circuit breaker installation covers new circuits and code upgrades. That includes dedicated circuits for large appliances, EV chargers, and hot tubs, plus AFCI breakers per NEC 210.12 and GFCI protection per 210.8. Tandem breakers are not a substitute for panel space, so we confirm the panel schedule allows the added load first.
CIRCUIT BREAKER REPLACEMENT FOR FAILED AND UNDERSIZED BREAKERS
Breakers wear out. The internal trip mechanism weakens after repeated overloads, and a worn breaker either trips early or fails to trip at all. Circuit breaker replacement is the fix when a breaker fails a load test, shows pitting or scorch marks on the stabs, or feeds a circuit that has outgrown it.
The replacement breaker has to match the panel. Breaker and panel combinations are listed together, so a breaker that physically fits is not always approved for that bus. We match type, amperage, pole count, and AIC rating to the panel label. If the panel line is discontinued and no listed breaker exists, we say so and price a panel replacement instead.
WHAT TO CHECK BEFORE HIRING A CIRCUIT BREAKER REPAIR COMPANY?
Ask how the breaker will be diagnosed. A circuit breaker repair company that reaches for a larger amperage breaker to stop nuisance tripping is covering a fault, not fixing one. Frequent tripping usually traces back to an overloaded circuit, a ground fault, an arc fault, or a failing appliance, and each one leads somewhere different.
Confirm the license and ask whether the replacement breaker is listed for your panel. Ask what happens if the panel itself is the problem. A contractor who only swaps breakers has one answer for every call. Gengatorz Power Systems handles breakers, panels, and the circuits behind them, so the recommendation follows the fault.
